PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This Victorian weatherboard home in Hawthorn East required full timber rot repair before any paintwork could begin. Years of Melbourne weather had compromised key areas of the exterior, and the owners wanted the property properly restored — not just repainted.

Sol Shine carried out targeted rot removal and timber replacement across the exterior, ensuring every surface was structurally sound before painting commenced. The home was then repainted in a palette developed by Donna Burke Colour ConsultingDulux White Exchange Quarter across the weatherboards, fascias, eaves and heritage verandah detailing, with Colorbond Monument to the gutters.

Delivered with careful preparation, respectful site care and proactive communication, the project was completed with minimal disruption. The result is a protected, refreshed exterior that honours the original character of the home — and is built to last.
